We collect things we enjoy. Psychologists believe one of the reasons people enjoy collecting is because of the nostalgia it produces. It allows us to relive our childhood.
There isn’t a Funko Pop! on Earth, I don’t love. As a child, I spent a lot of time reading comic books and exploring the woods in my neighborhood. I was an explorer, free-thinker, and lover of adorable things. This adventuring led me to collect the things I love!

Cultivating my Funko Pop! collection began four years ago with my first Pop! – Captain Phasma from a Star Wars Smuggler’s Bounty Mystery Box. I bought this particular mystery box from Emerald City Comic Con in 2017.
Funko Pop! Mystery Boxes skyrocketed my enjoyment of collecting because of the lottery characteristic with every purchase.
My collection quickly expanded, evolving from Star Wars to Avengers. My current collection includes Game of Thrones, Care Bears, Hello Kitty, Invader Zim, and many more. Even though my collection is small in comparison to others, it still holds value.
Unfortunately, I recently had to restrict my buying, selling, and trading of Pops! due to the size of my small apartment. I do not want my collection to become clutter. Soon I will start collecting again.
I have found remarkable ways to store and display my collection – a topic for another day! I look forward to sharing with you more about my fantastic collection of Funko Pops!
